Horrible Domestic Chores We Hate To DoWhat's the worst chore you hate doing around the house? One of these is sure to figure on your list. Laundry isn't fun. Let's establish this straight away before we go any further. This is a necessity, it's one of those jobs you have to do, but you'd much rather be doing something else. This is why we strongly make this chore as easy as possible. Get organised for wash day, install a laundry chute and streamline the process from the beginning. Still it could be worse. Laundry chores are bad enough but there are other tasks around the home that are equally as bad, if not worse! Here we list common household chores you hate to do, and would much rather be doing something fun instead. Washing Dishes If you're smart you'll have a dishwasher to perform this function for you. If not, you'll have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in, removing baked-on cottage pie, grease from morning fry-ups and gravy from Sunday lunch plates. Washing up sucks... Ironing Washing clothing is bad enough. Once it's dry, you then have the fun task of ironing that monster pile of clothing, which is an event in itself. At least you can speed up the process of washing dirty linen by using a laundry chute. As for the ironing... you'll just have to get stuck in, maybe play some music in the background or pop the telly on, just be careful of that hot steam! De-clogging Drains This is a horrible job. Fat, hair and soap scum can really clog drains. When the problem gets too bad, and waste water fails to drain away, you have no option - it's time to perform a little drain unclogging. Marigolds at the ready, grab a plunger, and go to war. It's not the nicest job in the world as you start to de-gunge the drain but at least once the task is complete all that wastewater will simply drain away. Changing the Bed How lovely it is to slip under the sheets after they have been freshly laundered? You can't beat the smell of freshly laundered linen, but changing the beds in your household is a bit of a pain. Make it fun, get the kids involved and it becomes less of a chore. Take a dirty duvet off, pull sheets away from mattresses and you can drop them down a laundry chute to speed up wash day duties. Domestic drudgery affects us all. Nobody likes performing these duties they're simply a necessary evil, take some comfort knowing everybody feels exactly the same as you. [Return] |
