What is the cost of convenience?Laundry chutes add the upmost convenience to your home, but one of the main questions we get asked is what is the cost of this convenience? This includes prices of the laundry chutes, installation prices and anything else you may need with your laundry chute. The fact of the matter is that there are so many variants that go into the pricing of laundry chutes as it’s sometimes even dependant on the build of your home. However, we’re going to give some information and examples to try and clear this up and give you an insight into how our pricing works. Firstly, all of our chutes are really easy to install so if you have a DIY master in your home then we have a video and some instructions to help them install the chute themselves. Or if you want to have your laundry chute installed by us to leave you worry free, then one of our friendly team will be on hand to help you install your chute. Installation prices range from £500-£1500 depending on the size of the house and how complicated the renovation is. This price covers labour rate, travel time and costs and if when travelling a long distance if we have to stay overnight too. You can’t install a top-notch laundry chute if you’re dozing off! Now let’s get onto some examples... If I had a house of 2 stories and I only wanted one door, the 300mm laundry chute would be ideal which would cost about £950. On top of this, if you wanted one of our team to install it in a day and we have to do a couple hours of travelling it would be £500 installation fee (this could change), so in total you could have a laundry chute fitted in your 2-storey home for around £1500. Fancy upgrading to a 3-storey house and want a laundry chute in this home too? Well, dependant on which chute you wanted and how many doors you require, you’d be looking at approximately £1500-£2000 for the supply of the products and as usual, the installation would be between £500 - £1500. Of course, we do work on a quote basis. However, in the rare occasion that a customer changes their mind on the positioning of the chute in their home or if they decide they want to go up an extra floor, this isn’t a problem! We can add more pipework, an extra door and we estimate the price would increase by another £500-£750 depending on the meterage and if there were any 45º bends needed. Head on over to our shop page on the website, where we have a quoting tool where you can enter the variables that we need to give you a more accurate quote for your job. We hope this has been useful and cleared up some questions that you may have had on cost. Despite this, we do understand that each job is unique and bespoke to the customer so if you do have any questions or require some more information, do not hesitate to pick up the phone and give us a call!
